Evening Kate’s well wishers,
Kate continues to amaze and impress her family and the staff here at Upstate. So much that she has been accepted to their rehab program. Yep that’s right we are staying in Syracuse for a while. Kate has more moves than Uhual right now, she has been on the 4th,12th,11th and now on the 2nd floor of this hospital.
Since Katlyn’s surgery we have seen some very positive improvements. Our favorite is she is giving thumbs up again and she does it without hesitation. Her Mom timed her the other day she put it up and down 4 times in fifteen seconds, that’s is quite an improvement. Katlyn is also squeezing and releasing her left hand on command. Of course she is still laughing when anything funny or weird is said.
Keep climbing Kate the sky is the limit, scratch that you have no limit!!!

There is no limit, Kate! I am so proud of you for working so hard! Just when everyone starts feeling a little down about the situation, you step it up and show us what you are all about! Great job, girl! You keep fighting, keep climbing and stay strong! You have a whole lot of people praying for you and an even greater number who KNOW YOU WILL WIN!!

Its great to come in and see you because what your parents say on line just doesnt hit you as it does when you really see you laugh or answer a question! I cant wait to come and do therapy with you! Just so you know your dad says you have no limits i have never heard that before for a 16 year old!! You have it in writing too! See you soon!!

ooooops Hi Kate well, it’s Friday , i was up to see you in action yesterday and WOW yeah i like what i saw !!! i saw you answer alot of questions with your thumbs up answers and appropriately , way to go Kate. but the best thing i witnessed was when your speach therapist wiped your face with a cold wet wash cloth, you didn’t like the feel of that,we both swore you tried to say “NNNNOOOOOOO” we heard it as NO you go girl !!! brought tears to by eyes and my heart took a couple big thumps
you bring the reason for the season even more special for all of us !!! next saturday

Hey Princess,
I hope you are doing well this week. I am still praying for you all the time and I look forward to meeting you one day. In the mean time, I hope Santa Claus is very good to you this Christmas. We have been told that he may come here to Iraq to visit us. If he does, he will probably need to use camels instead of reindeer on his sled!
